Hello football players and parents. I would like to introduce myself as the new Midget Head Football Coach at La Habra Pop Warner. Here is a brief bio about me and some of the successes that I have had along the way.
First of all, football to me is the greatest sport in the world. It can teach us a lot about who we are and how we can better ourselves through discipline, team work, and respect. Not only have I played this great game of football, but I have also coached it for many years, eight to be exact. I started coaching in Murrieta Pop Warner when my youngest started playing. We had very good success there running the wing T and were always deep into the playoffs. Life at that time had taken me to Salt Lake City where I coached my son up to the Midget level. I had introduced them to the spread option which most players knew nothing about. We had great success there and in the second year we took our midget team to the state championship. Life had then moved me back to Whittier where I grew up and I coached one year with the Trojans. This was one of my most difficult years coaching as that team had only scored one touchdown the following two years. We won a few games and did our best in preparing those players for high school. I am excited to have joined the La Habra Pop Warner program and will make sure I will do my part to ensure the continuation of the success in this football program.
In highest regards,
